Now we know why it's called Alligator River !!
Do you see him?

How about now?

Now you see him!!! He's a biggie!!

Just in case you didn't see him in the pictures
here he is just making his way down the river!

We had 3 of these fighter jets out and doing
all kinds of maneuvers.  It was so good to see.  They
probably practiced for about an hour.
Bob and Gary were talking about all the maneuvers
they were making and how loud they sounded when another
sailboat went by us and said on the radio
"That is the sound of Freedom!"
Of course we agreed !!

We went over to Dream Catcher tonite and you can
see we don't mind being comfortable!  Bob in his pink hat,
orange shirt, plaid PJ bottoms, and slippers....
I was just in PJ's !

Check out the homemade dessert Jayne made
Upside down orange cake (leftover from last night)
homemade orange topping, and of course,
Whip Cream!!
For dinner we had homemade quiche made of
bacon and spinach !

Our Sunset at East Lake, NC
We are coming out of the Alligator River and going into
Albemarle Sound in the early a.m.

A very exciting day of traveling !  We started off with lot's of fowl everywhere, flying in flocks, sitting in the water next to each other but not really close to each other, doe drinking water, turtles sunning on logs everywhere, an alligator heading south :0), and a really great air show!  Now that's a good day!

Once we anchored for the night we went to Gary & Jayne's for dinner and then back to the boat for much needed sleep.  We went 79 miles today....actually Bob & I probably did more since we kept turning around and getting pictures and video's of everything!  By the time we contacted Gary on the VHF he was 2 miles ahead of us !!
