Bob yakking again

We are preparing for our trip up north

Need lots of fuel and water !

Today the helicopters were flying low all over the place

We didn't find out until later that the Navy Seals were doing

some training and two of the Seals were killed during

the training and they were looking for the bodies

They found one, but not the other yet

So sad....

down to the end of their pier....that was a lot

of carrying, of course it had to be all the heavy stuff!

Rob took Bob and Gary out today so they could

fill all their gas cans to fill our tanks for our 

trip North!  Thank you again Rob!

We invited ourselves to Rob & Sandy's for a

going away goodbye - instead of going to P.P. Island

tonight...it was a great time! Tomorrow they leave

at 1000 hours to start heading north again!

Bob and I did a lot today preparing for trip home.  Bob got lots of gas and water and I did a lot of putting food away.  Rob also took the guys to the liquor store so we are all set for the trip home now as far as liquor is concerned; and that my friends, is/was a big concern!  

We were supposed to have some friends come tomorrow to spend the night, Ed & Mena, but the weather is so poor right now they decided to start heading towards Tampa to see a friend of theirs.  So tomorrow is going to be a work horse day for us since they won't be here and the weather is not the best.  Tomorrow's high is 71 degrees and then it starts to cool down considerably, so much so, we may have to plug in a heater!

I'm making Bob breakfast

Thanks to all the rain we got yesterday -

Today I am bailing once again....

But at least it was only half of what it 

was on the night of Valentine's Day!

Today we conned Rob into taking Jayne & I grocery

shopping -  he was quite a trooper....we went

to Gordons, Dollar Store, and Publix....there was

a lot of food shopping going on....we are preparing 

for our trip back north!

This is what we still have left to pick up !  

Bob will get it tomorrow ?!???!

Today was a busy day....Bob worked on taxes and the boat.  He has hooked up the solar panels and they are working like a charm....like Gary says "free energy!"  I went to the 2 grocery stores and the Dollar Store to shop for our trip back north.  Rob had so much fun grocery shopping with Jayne & I, NOT, but he handled it like a true gentleman!   

After shopping we went to Thai Island for Happy Hour.  They have great food there!  After Thai Island we went back to Dream Catcher for another beer and then headed on home.

They're both so happy to be back in Key West!

Today Bob ran into town to meet up with Ed & Mena, from Fallston, MD.  They are staying in the Keys for a week and came into Key West to visit with us for a bit.  It was a very short visit, I believe Bob said he had a half a drink with them and then had to take off because we had another Happy Hour already planned at Gary & Jayne's boat   We are getting together with them on Friday; they'll be spending the night on Storymaker and then heading north in the morning.  

We have big, big, plans for the rest of the week.  So much that I even had to make a list so as not to forget anything.  We are getting ready to start heading north in the next week or so.  Tomorrow is a big shopping day.  I've convinced Rob that he really, really, wants to go grocery and liquor shopping!  The boys have secured him for gas runs on Thursday.  That will probably be laundry day for me :0(

Guenther showed up at our boat around

1500 hours....he wanted to go diving for lobster 

again and needed me to drive his dinghy for him

Then we went and picked up Gary to assist 

in the lobster diving

Someone told him that the lobster had a whole bunch

of little sharp things sticking out on their claws and when 

they swiped at the mop they got their claws stuck in

them so to Guenther that was logical so he 

immediately went to Home Depot and bought a mop

Bob and I were both exhausted today and didn't do much of anything until Guenther showed up at 1500 hours.  I did get to see Jayne for a couple of minutes.  She, too, was exhausted.  She traveled all day yesterday, starting with plane and ending up with bus, so by the time she got home she was pretty darn tired, especially after putting in a 60 hour work week painting!!

Over at Guenther's we saw a lot of pictures from several different wars on Guenther's "Great American Hero."  After seeing and hearing everything his hero had done, I could understand why he was his "Great American Hero!"  Bob and I both hope to talk with him soon.

or another I deleted them while downloading them - so anything

you see from here on out is from Bob's camera!  

Luckily he had one!

Joan and I met him at the airport and from there

we went straight to Thai Island for a few drinks!

After Thai Island we took Joan home and then

went over to Gary & Jayne's boat

Bob couldn't wait to jump in the water!

We didn't stay too long at Gary's and just came back to the boat for some "rest & relaxation!"
