The Last Breakfast
Kathi is cooking....she's thinking
"we have to leave soon and I don't want to go!"
Waiting for The Last Breakfast, Nick is checking
out the flights to Fort Myers to see his brother.
They were going to take the scenic ferry (4.5 hours)
but was too rough on the water. They decided a
55 minute flight would be a tad less rough.
Bob on the other hand....
is coming up with a list of things for them to do
on their last day in town !
Mile Marker "0"
Me in front of the The Little White House.
Harry Truman started the tradition of presidents taking a
little "retreat" down here in 'ole Key West.
Other presidents followed his tradition for a
little R & R on the job.
Here is a tree on the lawn of The Little White House
Do you see the face in this trunk?
Which president's face is it?
(see tomorrow's blog for the answer!)

This is where we stopped for drinks and a snack
Right on the ocean
Information about the beach & restaurant
This is a "topless" beach; however, Bob and Nick were
pretty disappointed that only the men were topless
Inside of the Southernmost Beach & Cafe Bar
This is outside of Thai Island :0(
This is a sad moment -
Nick & Kathy (along with Bob)
are headed over the bridge to drop off their bikes
and get a cab to the Ferry Dock to pick up their
luggage and then onto the Airport....long story :0)
This is our sunset tonight
Jayne just finding, and using, our new electric toilet!
She's absolutely ecstatic!!!!!
She wanted to go again and again and again!
Gary going "Thanks Bob!" Something else
to add to my honeydo list !!
Nick & Kathi standing in front of the plane
with the Captain....they emailed us this picture
at the same moment we were wondering how
their trip went!
This looks like they would be the only passengers.
More loafing today. Laid around with coffee and Kathi's breakfast until 1400 hours when we finally garnered up enough energy to plop our butts on our bikes. We hit a couple of new bars then met Gary and Jayne over at Thai Island for Happy Hour #3. Bob escorted Nick and Kathi over the bridge to return their bikes. After Happy Hour #3, I wasn't sure I could pedal up the bridge in a straight line, let alone coast down the other side without running over the barrier wall into the water.
Bob & I then went back to the boat and watched the sunset. Gary and Jayne came over after her interview at Schooner's Wharf for a waitressing job. They were interviewing 10 people for 2 positions, so she'll find out in a few days. Pooped after their departure Bob and I snuggled into bed at 2230 hours.
