This is at 0645 this morning
The sun is beginning to rise !
Thankfully! It was a long night!
No sunset picture today. I forgot to take it?!!?
I talked to Bob today and he told me he worked 65 hours last week! No wonder he's exhausted. Today was his only day off and he took advantage of it and slept for 12.5 hours!
Boy was it cold today. The high was 61 degrees but it felt a lot colder. The winds were continuous and the waves were bad. I only saw 3 people out in dinghy's all day today. I guess unless you had to be somewhere everyone decided it would be a good day not to go anywhere! Including me!!
I stripped down all the beds today. All the staterooms were drenched from the storm the other night. I had closed all the hatches but I only locked one side of them down not knowing a storm was coming. So now I have to go to the laundry and wash all pillows, comforters, sheets and anything else that goes along with bedding!
I also took inventory of all the food we have left on the boat so we can replenish for the trip back home. We have an awful lot of food to buy! But I did learn a lot as to what stays fresh and what needs to be transferred into baggies. We lost a lot of items due to the humidity and mold that was in boxes.
I pulled the 4-man life vest jacket out of the dinghy today and dry out the vests. I forgot Bob had put the bicycle lights in it and they are no longer any good. They were floating in water in the plastic bag they were in. I guess we know what we'll be spending some of Bob's hard earned money on!
I'm hoping, NOT, that I can get some laundry done tomorrow. We'll see how the winds are.
Gary called tonight and wanted to know if I was freezing as much as he was? I think he just wanted to make sure I was OK, which I was. I told him I had on two layers of clothes and put an extra blanket on my bed. This was the first time since I've been here that I actually had to wear a lot of clothes. I know you're not feeling sorry for me back home :0), since it's about 30 degrees if you're lucky, but I thought it may make you feel better knowing, I too, was COLD!
