An early start with the gang

Our buddy we met the eve before who helped
us tie up.  Eldner, from Northern Ireland, has
a 42 foot, marina yard boat constructed sailboat
where you really can't sit outside.  At all.  It's
a motorsailer but no cockpit.

Everyone in NY, NJ, & MD waited out
Sandy.  Now they're all headed south.

Derek's 52 foot Viking passing us on the
starboard side.  He will blow more gas in
1 day than we will use in 10 days.

America the Beautiful !!!

Mile Marker #60 just above Abermarle Sound,
North Carolina.  This Sound is the last large
body of water we will cross until Key West.
Hopefully, a 0700 start will allow us to drop
the hook by 1600 on the other side at a safe anchorage.

A spectacular, beautiful, special sunset

Another peeper, the end of another enjoyable day

We're makin' time, warming up a bit more every day.
The water is now like glass as the ICW in these
here parts is only the width of I-95.  The boat
glides effortlessly through the tannin-colored water.
We've only used 36 gallons of diesel since we
left Middle River so we've been pleased with
the wallet savings.  Our beautiful anchorage ends
the relaxing day.  We await another tomorrow.
