This couple was married on the beach today.  She was in a 

long white dress with a pink bow in her hair and wearing pink 

flip flops...this was their get-away vehicle!

This is Mike and Sharon finally landing in Key West 

after 2 days and 6 plane rides....they did a minimum of 

5 fly-bys and landed on the 3rd plane in !

What a day this has been for all 4 of us.  Mike and Sharon were up at 0430 and back at the Tampa 

Airport by 0600 since they had a flight out at 0700.  Bob and I were up at 0600 to be at the airport by 0700 

to pick them up.  Well.....things don't always happen the way they are supposed to!  Mike and Sharon's

flights did not leave until 0800 and when they made it to Key West they tried to make 4 attempts at

landing but ended up being diverted to Ft. Lauderdale due to fog.  They were then scheduled to leave 

there at 10:30 but didn't get out until until 12:30, then the air conditioning went out on the plane so they had

to come back AGAIN....so 2 hours later they were finally back in the air and FINALLY  landed 

in Key West at 14:30 !  Bob and I left the airport around 12:30 not knowing what was going on and 

we walked home from the airport.  When they called us and said they were on the way AGAIN we told

them they had to prove it to us and to call us once they got to the airport.  They did finally call

from the airport and we still weren't convinced and told them to take a cab to the dinghy dock and 

once we saw them we would be convinced!  At 15:36 hours their cab pulled into the dinghy dock !

The story gets better !  During one of the many attempts to land today a little boy in the seat behind them about 4 years old starts crying and the next thing they know the little boy started vomiting.  Being the kind people Mike & Sharon are, they gave them their barf bag and all the Kleenex they had on them. Even the

flight attendant was impressed, she was holding her nose, giving them plastic bags to put nasty clothes in and replacing the barf bags.  This was a first for her also !  

We were all exhausted, to say the least, so we stayed on the boat and had Happy Hour and dinner.  

But tomorrow is another day !

So the moral of the story is, it took them 2 days and 6 airplane rides to get to Key West !
