The wind was a howlin' again today!
25 knot sustained blow
So these inventive boaters used an umbrella to keep
themselves dry on the way over.
It turned out to be our new buddies from Indiana;
Buford & Denise
(they took 7 months to get down here)
We ended up seeing them at Schooner's Wharf today.
But before we could go anywhere we had to fix the
pulley holding the dinghy up. Captain Buffo forgot to
untie a strap holding it in place. When Einstein let the
dinghy down it caused the ropes on the pulley to entangle.
So the Capt had to rig a holding line in place to take the
weight off the pulley and make it work.
30 minutes late for lunch with Ross & Randy but
we got'er done.
First Mate Lynn in her rubber ducky rain gear for
the rough ride to the dinghy dock.
The gang at Schooner's Wharf.
Bob's blackened red snapper was a big winner!
Lynn's crab & avocado salad was tasty too.
Randy chewed the beef while Ross had a wrap.
Mike and Sharon made it home on Wednesday night okay.
But Mike's foot got worse and here's a picture from the ER
this afternoon. The doctor's don't know what's going on
(now that's reassuring) but told him to go home and drink gin.
We're still getting over our colds/flu/mysterious illness so we took it easy today, until Boob goofed on the dinghy. Our wet ride to the dinghy dock was made worthwhile when we met Randy and Ross for lunch. Bob had a couple of Pain in the Asses while Lynn had some Bloody Mary's. The guys introduced us to Mack from their RV Park and Howard and Debby showed up from there as well. We had previously met them in Sturgis in August. Then we ran into Buford and Denise at another table. We knew more people at the Wharf then we do sometimes in bars/restaurants back in Bel Air/Baltimore.
After all the excitement, we had a dry run back to the boat (now the wind was at our backs) and needed a nap. Beef is what's for dinner.
