Right at 0900 we pulled the anchor and headed
towards Alligator River.  It looks like the start
of an absolutely beautiful day.

We followed a Lagoon 38 most of the day

Thank you Joy (Clark) for our morning
cup of "Jo"  ;D

This is truly what it's all about!
Steering the kitty with no shirt!!
A sweet 72 degree day!

The Alligator River-Pungo River Canal

Captain for an hour

Old wooden sailboat at anchor in the canal

Big boat, big wake

The perfect sunset through the Captain's eyes

By noon, it was warmer than it has been in probably 8 weeks.  I took my shirt off only to reveal the "Fall 15."  The only ripples on the water were from cormorants slapping their wings against
the water to get out of our way.  It was heaven on earth, today.  The water was completely flat with absolutely no wind.  Beauty surrounded us everywhere we looked.  Trees changing colors, evergreens leaning out over the canals, boats leaving small ripples along the waterways.  The 69 miles we traveled today were relaxing, especially since we got Bill & Mo's Schlag's Sirius radio working.  Another perfect sunset.  Beef is coming up.

  1. You two were due for a good one. Enjoy the journey.

We just got back from a hundred plus mile day on the bikes. Up the east side of the Susquehanna to Wrightsville for libation. Back the other side. I'll pass this blog link on to the crew here at home. Keep the stories coming.
