Christmas at Jeannie's, Danny's and Gordon's

in Big Pine Key

We went to a flea market today and Bob almost bought

me this bike - he said it was as close to a Harley

as I was going to get (I'm a Japanese bike girl)!

We met Charlie here at Pleasure Cove Marina in Pasadena, MD

when we had our boat pulled in October.  He said then he

was on his way to the Keys and told us about his

favorite Tiki bar (which we really didn't know where he was

talking about when he told us) -

but we just happened to be there today when he walked in!

Another great day in the Keys.  We were up by 0800 hours and on the

water by 1100 hours.  No naps today - no time ! We went back to Winn

Dixie and picked up a few things then Lynn chased a rooster around the parking

lot trying to get a decent shot of him.  From there we picked up Gordon

and went to the flea market.  Talk about some great prices!  Then we went to the

Tiki bar with Jeannie, Danny and Maggie and watched the Raven's play.  They

lost but it was still a great time for us.  We almost picked up our Xmas tree on the

way back to the marina where our dinghy was docked but the

place selling them had just closed.  Hopefully within the next couple of days we

will get one.  We did get 2, 16# bags of ice for 2 bucks a piece - now that

was a bargain.  Bob also picked up a spear gun to try and snag (kill - guess we are back in the mood again :0)) some Lionfish; he's all over trying to get a couple of them just to try and save

the fish we have roaming around in the Keys.  

 

A GREAT big THANK YOU to Gordon for letting us use his truck to

run around and replenish our supplies!  We felt like locals!

 

Tomorrow, unless something changes, we should be in Key West !
