Look !  We have neighbors !!

Coming to the Channel 5 Bridge
We cruised Hawk Channel today which is
actually part of the Atlantic Ocean

Yankee is the name of this sailboat out of Miami

Other side/view of Channel 5 Bridge
We are now back in the
Intracoastal Water Way

This was a fast boat
In fact, so fast we couldn't get a picture of it !

So the only thing left to do,
is follow his wake....

Uh-oh the Captain is sleeping on the job again!

So while I'm being the Captain....I broke all the rules
and cut in front of this teeny, tiny sailboat :0)
He got out of my way though!  I'm bigger !!
Actually it wasn't that bad, but it sounded good! :0)

We are getting off the beaten track to head
for our anchorage spot tonight

Another turn

And another, only this one opens up to.....

Buttonwood Sound :0)
Mile 1143.0

The yellow spot is where we are anchored !

It doesn't get any better than this !!

Up at 0500 hours to weigh anchor at 0645 hours.  Gary snaked us out of Marathon going north through Sister's Creek.  We're the biggest boats that can go out this little creek due to the 5 foot water depths.  We went out into the Atlantic Ocean and headed northeast through the Hawk's Channel.  Not too many crab pots but I won't have seen them anyway as I spent most of the day napping.

It was a nice cruise back in through the Channel 5 bridge then real calm waters to Key Largo.  Bob hauled the jib and we did a little better with the speed.  Found a nice hurricane hole at Buttonwood Sound/Tarpon Basin in Key Largo.  Dropped the hook and met over at Gary and Jayne's boat for some beverages and dinner.  Bed by 2030 hours.  Pretty tired.
